 David Myles - Saturday, February 6, 2010
Our Second Spotlight Series Concert in 2009-2010
David Myles is a captivating performer, internationally recognized songwriter and award winning recording artist.

Carmen and David David Myles is a fresh force on the Canadian entertainment landscape and his most recent release “On The Line” showcase his creativity, vocal versatility and musical dexterity. The cd is a powerful and stylish blend of jazz, blues, gospel, pop and folk influences that has already been recognized with numerous awards and nominations, including the 2009 ECMA Folk Recording of the Year Award. The trademark enthusiasm and likeability that make David such an instant favourite with audiences shine through on his latest release.

David is fearless in his arrangements - from Hammond Organ to double bass to an outstanding horn section - he enjoys an acoustic palate that marries rich and elegant with animated and imaginative. In live shows he serves it up with the energy of a demon, and audiences immediately open up to his honest and passionate delivery. David is a young man but he has old-soul wisdom that connects him with people on the most fundamental level.

Since this is a Spotlight Performance, we will be serving dinner. The menu for this performance includes:

  • Appetizer - Spinach Salad, Black Olives, Feta Cheese & Honey Balsamic Dressing - $5
  • Entree - Spicy Italian Sausage Pasta - $9
  • Dessert - Strawberry Latte - $5
  • A selection of beer and wine available at various prices

Doors open at 6:30 pm and the concert starts at 8:00 pm. Tickets are available online at our web site, by phone from 403-949-4114 or in person at Spirits West.

New Ticket System
Print Your Tickets At Home, No Service Charges
Our new ticket system is finally up and running. We've been trying to get a new way of handling tickets for a couple of years. It's been a lot of work for those involved, but it's finally working and some of the people who have bought tickets already have told us that it's really easy to use.

Tix.com LogoThe biggest frustration with ticket systems and the reason it has taken so long to find a solution is the cost. We've now chosen Tix.com as our ticket provider.

Many ticket system/agencies advertise that they have no cost to presenters. The problem is, they add anywhere from 10% to 20% or more to the cost of tickets to our customers. We believe that our market is somewhat price sensitive and adding $3 to $5 per ticket is unreasonable. Tix provides us with the basic functions we think we need and the price is reasonable enough we are including the system cost in our ticket prices for this season anyway. There will be no surcharge or service charges on our tickets for the 2009/2010 season.

The Tix system allows you to buy tickets online and print your tickets at home. The tickets are bar coded and we will be scanning barcodes at the door. Season ticket holders will continue to use their printed regular tickets.

Please go to our web site to purchase tickets for all our remaining 2009/2010 performances.
