Welcome to the Bragg Creek Performing Arts Newsletter with information on the Bragg Creek Festival, Bragg Creek Performing Arts Season Tickets and our 30th season ... 2010 - 2011.

Our 29th Season is now complete. We'd like to thank everyone who attended our concerts and hope that you enjoyed the concerts as much as our volunteers enjoyed presenting them!

Season Tickets for 2010 - 2011
Discounted Season Ticket Sale ends May 8, 2010
Season Tickets will be a bit different in 2010 - 2011. Instead of us packaging Main and Spotlight Series, you get to build your own package. Pick the shows you want to see or are able to attend ... or pick all of them. The more shows you buy, the greater the discount. Scroll down a bit to see our 2010 - 2011 artist lineup or visit our web site. Remember, as a Bragg Creek Performing Arts Season Ticketholder, if you are unable to attend a show, you can call 403-949-4114 and arrange to bring some guests to another show.

Here's how the Season Ticket works ... Pick the shows you want (We'd love to see you at all of them) and get the following discounts:

• Buy 4 shows and get 10% off the total
• Buy 5 shows and get 11% off the total
• Buy 6 shows and get 12% off the total
• Buy all 7 shows and get 15% off the total

This special pricing will only be available from May 1, 2010 to May 8, 2010. After May 8, all concerts will be at full price. This special pricing will be available via our ticket number 403-949-4114 or through our online ticket sales.

Also new for the 2010 - 2011 season, single tickets are available now, instead of starting sale in August as we have done in previous years.

With Bragg Creek Performing Arts, what you see is what you pay (except with this discount where you pay less than what you see). There are no additional fees, taxes or surcharges!

In addition, from May 1 to May 8, 2010, Bragg Creek Festival tickets (not including Youthtopia) will be available with a 10% discount.

Buying a Season Ticket online is easy. Click here or on the 'buy tickets' button on our web site, select a show you want to see, then select the quantity and type of ticket you want and add them to your shopping cart. Click the 'return to shopping' button and repeat the process until you have all the shows you want in your shopping basket. Click the checkout button next and, after you've logged in, you will be able to view the contents of the shopping cart. When you proceed to the next screen, the system will show you the shopping cart with all the discounts applied. You can then complete the transaction with your credit card.

Returns May 28, 29 and 30, 2010 ... A Season's Worth of Music in 3 Days
The third annual Bragg Creek Festival is ready to roll. We need your support to make it a success We have a great artist lineup for the 2010 Festival including:

You can check out the tentative schedule for the third Bragg Creek Festival on the Festival web site. Tickets are now available and from May 1 to May 8 there will be a 10% discount (Youthopia is not discounted).

Doing other things on Sat. May 29? You can attend the evening and enjoy 4 sets, 1 set each with Nathan Rogers, Elizabeth Shepherd Trio and MG3 plus a set with all three groups collaborating. A great evening for only $35 Adult, $25 Senior (10% less until May 8).

In 2010, Friday Night of the Bragg Creek Festival will be devoted to artists who are under 19 but are already superb musicians, singers and song writers. We're calling it YoUthtopia. You can get more details on the YoUthtopia page on the Bragg Creek Festival web site. Tickets for Youthtopia are $15. Tickets are available from the artists or online. Come out and support these young performers! All proceeds from the ticket sales go to the Performers and to support youth programs at Bragg Creek Centre.

Here are the artists and dates for our 2010 - 2011 season:

• Mary Lou Fallis with Peter Tiefenbach - Dinner Series - November 6, 2010
• Delhi 2 Dublin - Main Series - November 27, 2010
• Paul Rumbolt - Dinner Series - February 6, 2011, plus Matinee Performance
• Tentative Bragg Creek Festival - March 4, 5 & 6, 2011
• Suzie Vinnick and Rick Fines - Main Series - April 2, 2011
• Dala - Main Series - May 7, 2011, plus Matinee Performance
• Joel Plaskett - Main Series - May 28, 2011

In 2010 - 2011 we will have two Matinee Performances. These will be one set performances in the afternoon, at a reduced ticket price. Matinee performances may be appealing to people who cannot attend in the evening or would like a shortened performance.

We are changing the name of our Spotlight Series to the Dinner Series to clarify that Dinner is available at these shows.

Try our new ticket system
Our new ticket system at tix.com lets you buy your tickets online and print them on your home printer. Of course, you can still order tickets on our ticket hotline at 403-949-4114 or buy them in person at Spirits West.

Country Music Comes Back to Bragg Creek
A New Country Series
Performing Arts is supporting the Bragg Creek Community Association's presentation of country music concerts.

Tickets are now available for the first two concerts:

Open Mike at the Boardwalk Cafe
More Music in Bragg Creek
Bragg Creek is welcoming an Open-Mike event to the Boardwalk Cafe. The next Open-Mike will be May 12th from 7-10pm. All ages and abilities welcome for those who wish to share their music with a friendly and supportive audience. The event is co-hosted by Chris Sandvoss guitar/fiddle and Tim Jeffery dobro/guitar.
